The reports feature in SoftCart is slowing down or has stopped working.

This is a known issue with SoftCart in regards to the merchant reports feature. Because the sales report feature captures its log in a text file, an increase in activity will increase the file size of the log. The larger the file becomes, the slower the reports feature performs. If the file grows to a substantial size, the report feature may cease functioning.

To prevent this issue from occurring, you may back up the old log information and make room for new log data in the file. After running your weekly or monthly report, locate the borlog.log file in the merchant/report directory. Back up this file by creating a copy and renaming it to something such as borlog.log.bak. Next, clear out the majority of the data from the original borlog.log file, allowing it to become smaller in file size and making room for new data.
