Improving the Online Presence of Travis County Water Control and Improvement District #17 with Modernized Web Design

We began our journey with WCID #17 many years ago, assisting the General Manager and her team fulfill goals for a more accessible website design with self-managing features and financial transparency. In 2021, we partnered with the water district again under current General Manager Jason Homan, the Board of Directors, and the communications committee.  Our mission was to modernize the website with design and administration updates. The project was successfully launched in January 2022.

Highlights of the project include:

• Wireframe design concepts and consulting
• Customized design to meet the vision of the Board and honor the history of the district and the Central Texas area
• Reorganized content structure, improved navigation, breadcrumb trails, and dynamic menus
• Improved accessibility of important content
• Upgraded software and customized admin tools, making content management easier for the staff
• Responsive design for an improved mobile experience
• Helpful resources, notices, and alerts areas
• Frequently Asked Questions database
• Dynamic report and rates tables
• Integration of updated photos and video content
• Upgraded contact forms for various departments
