Diann with Austin Gem and Mineral Society (austingemandmineral.org) was recognized for outstanding web site design at a September 2008 ceremony. WEBii worked closely with Diann to develop the AGMS web site in 2007. The society's web site was compared with approximately 40 other regional clubs.

Our administrative office staff is relocating to a new building this month. Please make note of our new address for all correspondence and billing. Our new office space will be located in our newly remodeled corporate building in Austin, Texas, with larger, modern accommodations for all of our wonderful employees.

Development on the control panel features continues as our team implements some improvements to the email setup interface. With customer suggestions in mind, our developers have simplified email settings by removing the "reset password" button and moving this option to the "edit" area. The catch-all email settings are also more comprehensive. These updates are now active on all Unix-based shared hosting accounts.

Webii has made the grade for the top ranking web hosting firms in Austin once again by the Austin Business Journal's 2005 survey. Also, progress is being made on enhancements to our online control panel which will make it easier and more convenient to setup and manage email account settings. Stay tuned for more information on this in the coming month.

The latest version of PowerWebBuilder has been released and is now offered with all hosting plans free of charge. This new version supports an unlimited number of web pages. Activate PowerWebBuilder on your account and learn how easy it is to build your own web pages with no web site design experience.

Yet another new feature has been introduced in our control panel. Customers with unix-based web hosting accounts (currently this feature is not available for Windows hosted customers) can visit the Setup Options area to see the new DNS Zone File Manager. Web site owners with more advanced DNS settings needs are now able to customize their own settings without submitting a special request to technical support.

In our ongoing development of the Webii control panel, we have released a few new features.

A crontab management tool is available for advanced users who need to specify a certain script or function to run on a regular basis for their site. This feature, which is still in a beta version, can be found under "setup options". Also in the setup options area, an automated installer for PowerWebBuilder has been added. This feature allows you to add the free version of the web site editing program to your account without technical assistance. This free version software allows you to create 3 web pages without advanced web design expertise. And at the request of various customers, a convenient logout button has been added to the top corner of the control panel.

PowerService is here! This new feature, available as an add-on to most plans, provides a convenient way for your customers to schedule appointments for a service offered on your web site. The web-based management tools provide user-friendly calendar interfaces to view and manage the appointment requests you receive, as well as manually schedule appointments on behalf of your clients.

New E-commerce plans with PowerCommerce were released this month. PowerCommerce is the latest software suite by Mercantec, maker of the SoftCart shopping cart software included with our former E-commerce hosting solutions. Customer who take advantage of the new PowerCommerce hosting options will enjoy a solution bundled with a web page editor, shopping cart features, and payment module all in one interface.

The Webii online control panel has been redesigned to provide a more convenient look and feel. Make a visit to your account's control panel today to notice clearly defined navigation options that have been reorganized for quick access on every page. All the same features are still available to you, but certain options have been renamed ("WWW Setup" is now "Setup Options"). Our developers have even more plans to improve the organization of the control panel based on customer feedback and requests, so stay tuned for more improvements in the future.

Introducing the launch of Power Web Builder, a web-based, user-friendly web page editor from the respected E-commerce software company Mercantec. The 3-page version of Power Web Builder is available to all hosting customers as a free bonus feature. This program allows a user with little or no HTML knowledge to create a template-based web site in a matter of minutes, all from the convenience of a browser. Just point, click, and drag items on the page layout to create your new site and maintain the pages in the same interface as needed. You can install this new feature through the Setup Options in your control panel.

Due to popular demand and in recognition of our many loyal customers, we have increased the Web Mail disk space limit for Pro and higher plans. The new limit for Web Mail email account access is 20MB, a 10MB increase! For email usage outside of the Web Mail program (such as in Outlook) there is no imposed limit. In an effort to offer improved services for newly migrated customers, Webii has increased disk space allocations for many of the adopted "AppSite Hosting" plans. If you are a customer who holds an account that was migrated from AppSite Hosting/Dellhost, you may see your current disk space allocations by logging into your Control Panel.

Webii welcomes its recently acquired customers from AppSite Hosting/Dellhost! Migration to a new service provider can be rough, and Webii strives to accommodate each customer's web hosting needs to the best of our abilities. Learn more about this acquisition in the press room.

Our datacenter work in July has resulted in upgraded network connectivity. This included upgrade to 2 redundant Cisco 12000 series routers and 2 redundant Cisco Catalyst 6000 series switches. The equipment updates as well as multi-homed, redundant connectivity to global upstream providers is all in an effort to achieve 100% network uptime for our customer base.

Introducing the convenient new "Manage Backups" feature. This new control panel feature is located in your "www setup" area and allows you to easily create backups of certain directories in your account, or to quickly restore recent backups from Webii's backup servers. With the thanks of our many beta testers, Webii has completed its initial analysis of the spam email filtering features. This feature is now available for all web hosting customer to use. To have this tool enabled in your Webii Control Panel, simply email technical support to request it.

Webii technical support and development is currently undergoing beta testing of spam email filtering tools. Several customers have volunteered to participate in the testing process, to get a feel for the features of the customization interface and report on the system's effectiveness. This beta testing period will help us to determine the possibility of implementing such a feature into our web hosting plans in the near future.

We've done it again! The Austin Business Journal recognized Webii as one of the top performing Web Hosting Companies of Austin in 2003. The honorable publication noted us for "Performance, Vision, [and] Tenacity". Webii is flattered to receive this recognition for the 2nd year in a row.
