Can I get a merchant account from my local bank for use with SoftCart?

Yes. The only requirement is that the bank providing the merchant account supports one of the following processors: FDMS, Paymentech or VisaNet/VirtualNet/Vital.

Merchants should check with the bank providing the merchant account to verify that the bank does support either FDMS, Paymentech or VisaNet/VirtualNet/Vital. If the bank does support one of the above listed payment processors, the merchant will need to inquire as to which specific processor they support, as well as acquire their MID (Merchant ID) and TID (Terminal ID). This information will be needed to configure the Merchant Payment Center (ClearCommerce) Module.
