When someone mentions the word ‘blog,’ it can be easy to assume that they mean someone’s personal blog where they write about their day and how they are feeling. Businesses, however, utilize blogs in a different way with certain goals in mind. For companies that are still on the fence about blog implementation, or are unsure how blogs can help, here are three reasons to start blogging for your business.

A blog can serve as a marketing tool with SEO keywords. SEO, or search engine optimization, is the method by which a website can gain more visibility on search engines by incorporating select keywords in its content. For example, if your company specializes in interior decoration, your blogs should include words related to your field, such as home decoration or maybe home decorating advice. This way, the likelihood of your website popping up on Google or Bing increases when a person searches for those phrases, which improves your overall visibility.
