Installing osCommerce to Your Account
Customers who wish to take advantage of the osCommerce shopping cart program may follow these easy instructions to install it to their Webii hosting account:
Step 1:
mySQL must be enabled for your account. If you are not yet using a mySQL database, send an email to technical support, including your domain name and Control Panel username and password, to request that a mySQL database be set up for your account.
Step 2:
osCommerce will be installed in a newly generated directory: /htdocs/catalog/
If your account already has a "catalog" directory, you must either remove or rename this directory before installing osCommerce.
Step 3:
Visit your Control Panel, and select the "WWW Setup" button. Click the link to "Install osCommerce". If the first two steps of this process are completed, click the submit button to proceed with the installation.

NOTE: osCommerce is a feature-rich shopping cart program that many webmasters will find useful. However, the administration and configuration of this program is typically more complex than SoftCart and similar softwares. Setting up and administering an online store with osCommerce may require a slightly more advanced knowledge of web design and development. Limited documentation is available for this program, and Webii can only provide limited technical assistance on configuring and using osCommerce.
