What steps should I take to utilize E-Commerce?

A good place to start is to determine how many products you plan to sell. Our E-commerce plans with PowerCommerce software are taylored to suit several product database sizes. The E-Pro supports up to 20 products, E-Corp supports up to 100, and E-Enterprise is unlimited.

We recommend that you visit our demonstration page to see how PowerCommerce works and to visit our test web store, and read the features in the Ecommerce chart to make sure all the things you need are included.

You should also determine if you want to take credit cards on your web site, and if so you need to select between real-time automated credit card processing or offline processing. If you decide to take advantage of real-time processing, an application to Authorize.net is readily available in your PowerCommerce interface.

In some cases, a different shopping cart might be better suited for your particular needs. We also support SoftCart 5.1 (also a product of Mercantec) and several other ecommerce programs. Ask us if you aren't sure what to choose - our representatives can make recommendations.
