Creating Backups
In your Control Panel, click on “Setup Options”. Scroll to the “Manage Backups” area.
To create a new backup from your current account files, click the “Create a website backup” link. A list of directories appears. Select the directories you wish to backup by checking the boxes beside them. (Your /htdocs directory is the directory that houses all of your Web pages and images. Usually, you can back up only this folder to create a backup of your Web site.)
If you only want to backup a certain subdirectory, click the link of a directory name (for example “htdocs”), and a list of the subdirectories will appear. Check the box next to the folder you want to backup.
When you are finished selecting the directories, click the “Create Website Backup” button at the bottom of the screen. The confirmation page will tell you the name of the backup file (for example “webii.com-backup-1-31-04-11-46-2.tar.gz”). The name of the backup file indicates the approximate date and time that the backup was created. Your backup file will be stored in a directory called /created_backups. You may FTP to this directory to download the file and unzip it (with a program such as WinZip).
