The Value Added Tax (VAT) feature new to SoftCart 5.1 is designed
for the international merchant that needs to display product prices
within the store environment inclusive of the VAT amount. VAT is
easily configured through the Store Manager user interface and enables
the merchant to configure VAT rates on a product level, then assign
VAT on a zone level. For merchants selling primarily to a reseller
client base, a configurable option is available to exclude VAT from
the product price, but display relevant VAT amounts within the checkout
page.
